Gokyo Valley Trek - 21 Days

 

An alternative, or even better, an addition, to the Everest Base Camp trek is the trek up to the Gokyo valley. Gokyo is located in the valley immediately west of the Everest (Khumbu) valley and is far less developed and crowded than its better-known neighbor to the east. In fact, the Gokyo valley only has one traditional permanent settlement, the rest being summer pastures now catering to the passing trekkers.

Day 01 : Arrival Ktm transfer to hotel BB

Day 02 : Free day in Kathmandu, hotel BB

Day 03 : Fly Kathmandu to Lukla (2800m) and trek to Phakding

Day 04 : Trek to Namche Bazaar

Day 05 : Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization

Day 06 : Trek to Dole

Day 07 : Trek to Machhermo

Day 08 : Trek to Gokyo Lake

Day 09 : Gokyo Lake-Visit Gokyo Ri

Day 10 : Trek to Tagnag

Day 11 : Trek to Zongla-Cross Chola Pass

Day 12 : Trek to Lobuche

Day 13 : Lobuche-Visit Kala Pathhar

Day 14 : Trek to Dingboche

Day 15 : Trek to Tengboche Monastery
