Lower Dolpo Trek - 22 Days

 

This trek is perhaps the most popular in the western Nepal. The area offers opportunity to visit ancient villages, high passes, beautiful lakes, isolated Buddhist monasteries and temples. The trail passes through Shey-Phoksundo National Park requires an entry fee in addition to the special trekking permit. The main attractions of the trek are Lake Phoksundo and Tarap Valley.

Day 01 : Arrival Ktm, transfer to hotel BB

Day 02 : Free day in Kathmandu, hotel BB

Day 03 : Fly Kathmandu-Nepalgunj hotel MAP

Day 04 : Fly Nepalgunj-Juphal. Trek to Dunai (2150m)

Day 05 : Trek to Tarakot

Day 06 : Trek to Tharpa Khola I

Day 07 : Trek to Tharpa Khola II

Day 08 : Tharpa Khola II to Dho

Day 09 : Rest day at Dho for acclimatization

Day 10 : Explore around Dho

Day 11 : Dho to Numala Base Camp

Day 12 : Numala Base Camp to Bagala Base Camp

Day 13 : Bagala Base Camp to Yak Kharka

Day 14 : Yak Kharka to Phoksundo lake

Day 15 : Rest day at Phoksundo Lake for acclimatization

Day 16 : Explore around Phoksundo lake

Day 17 : Phoksundo lake to Sali Gad and then to Sepka

Day 18 : Trek to Dunai

Day 19 : Trek to Juphal

Day 20 : Fly Juphal-Nepalgunj and then to Kathmandu

Day 21 : Free day in Kathmandu hotel BB

Day 22 : Final departure
